Matthew founded Argent Blue on a simple premise: organizations shouldn’t outsource their AI capability; they should build it themselves. He works with finance professionals to deploy AI agents that transform how they work, teaching them to own the capability rather than rent it.
As architect of the CPAI (Certified Professional in Artificial Intelligence) certification programme, Matthew partners with AFMA and ICMA to build internal AI capability across the finance profession. His approach centers on a core principle: accountability cannot be automated. Humans must remain at the commitment points for irreversible decisions; that’s where strategic value concentrates.
Before Argent Blue, Matthew spent years as a quant building machines that read maths. As a serial technology entrepreneur, he experienced firsthand the friction between what AI promises and what finance professionals actually need. He founded Argent Blue to close that gap, working embedded within organizations to co-build solutions and transfer knowledge that stays behind after the engagement ends.
